Your Councillors
Chobham Parish Council comprises nine elected members who are supported by the Parish Office.
The current Council will serve until May 2027.
The biographies and contact details of each of the current Councillors are below.
Les Coombs
Vice Chair to the Parish Council and Chobham Emergency Warden
I was born and brought up in Chobham and have lived in the local area all my life.
Having spent my entire working life in agriculture and latterly, in the golf industry, I have a particular interest in the maintenance of green spaces. This is why I think it is so important that the Common and our footpaths and bridle paths remain accessible for leisure and recreation and that environmental issues, such as fly tipping and the infrastructure for drainage, are well managed.
It is an honour to serve this vibrant community, so please do not hesitate to contact me if there are local issues causing you concern. I will do my best to assist.

Diane Beach
Chair of the Planning Committee
I came to work in Chobham in 1953 and have lived here since 1960. I served on the Parish Council from 2005 to 2007, and then from 2011 to 2015 and am pleased to be elected to serve again.
The unique character of Chobham, which is influenced by its wonderful Common, is something I care about and hope to uphold. The Common should I believe, remain open and unenclosed for the enjoyment of all.
Equestrians make a considerable contribution to the economy of the village and with the decline of horticulture and agriculture in the area, most of the land now accommodates grazing horses which I believe, if properly managed, is the best alternative use and helps to retain the rural atmosphere.

My family and I moved to Chobham in 2011. We live on the edge of the village and are very fortunate to be surrounded by the wonderful Chobham Common.
I am an Electronic Engineer by training and have worked for multinational companies across the world. I am the Volunteer Warden of Jubilee Mount, Treasurer of the Chobham Society, Treasurer of Chobham Club and Parish councillor as of March 2018.
I am committed to an open, honest, approach to governance and believe Chobham should be governed by residents. No secrets!

Cllr Christopher Rowbotham
As a long time Chobhamer, Chris has been involved with the village since 1969 whether it be as a local supporter or activist. He chaired the original Chobham fireworks until it outgrew its Burrowhill site in the ‘70’s. As an aviator himself, he has always supported the integrity and continued independence of Fairoaks as an aerodrome.
More recently Chris was on the Executive as a Surrey Heath Borough Councillor contributing to the flooding works which have kept the village clear of flooding for nearly ten years. Chris has been a governor of Wishmore Cross School for over 12 years and more recently wrote a weekly column in the local paper as “Rowbo’s Corner”
